Rockford Fire 911 3K Run
The 22nd Annual Rockford Fire 911 3K Run is a run/walk event in Rockford, Illinois. The event is organized by the Rockford Fire Department to support community education in fire prevention, emergency medical response, and safety. Proceeds are used to purchase training aids and educational materials, and to sponsor a child to attend the "Camp I Am Me" burn survivor camp.
The course is a USATF-certified 3 km distance. Timing is provided by chip timing. The event starts and finishes at Fire Station 5 and Trailhead Park (391 N Trainer Rd). Following the main event, there is a free Kids Fun Run for children aged 8 and under.
Registration is required, with different pricing for adults ($30), participants aged 0–18 ($20), and those aged 65–105 ($25). Prices increase after May 17, 2026. All registered participants receive a finisher medal, race bib, and T-shirt (guaranteed for registrations by May 17). Prizes include challenge coins for the top three in each age category and awards for overall male and female runners. Post-race food is provided by Mission BBQ.
Packet pickup and late registration will be at Fleet Feet Sports Rockford (1653 N Alpine Rd) on June 5, 2026. There is no same-day registration, and registration closes on June 5 at 6 p.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
