Rockcut Ultra, Halfcut and Shortcut
The event takes place in Twillingate, NL, on the Rockcut Twillingate Trails at the edge of the North Atlantic. Terrain varies between coastal single track, forested sections, bogs and roads through outport communities on Twillingate Island.
The event includes three distance options:
- 50K Rockcut Ultra
- 23K Halfcut
- 9K Shortcut
The Rockcut Ultra covers 50 kilometres on the Rockcut Twillingate Trails, moving along coastal and interior sections that include the terrain types listed above. The Halfcut is a 23 kilometre loop around Twillingate's North Island, using mostly rugged single track coastal trails and offering coastal views. The Shortcut is a 9 kilometre loop that starts in Snellins Cove, proceeds to Back Harbour, rounds Batrix Island, goes through Spencer's Park, returns through Back Harbour to Smith's Lookout and then descends back to Snellins Cove.
