Valley of the Run
Rock 'n' Roll Arizona is a multi-distance running event held annually in January. The weekend features a variety of flat and scenic courses that transition through three cities in the Valley of the Sun: Tempe, Phoenix, and Scottsdale. Participants run along routes that showcase the local landscape, including the distinct red sandstone formations of Papago Park.
The event includes a range of distances to accommodate different participants:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- KiDS ROCK
The courses are lined with live entertainment, including bands and DJs, to provide a musical atmosphere throughout the miles. The weekend also features a Health and Fitness Expo and concluding festivities at the Finish Line Festival located in Tempe Beach Park. Finisher medals and participant T-shirts are provided to those completing the races.
