About the race
The Rock ‘N Reef Trail Run, part of Australia's largest Trail Running Series, takes place in Bowen, Queensland, a scenic seaside town in the Whitsundays. The event offers three distances—6km, 10km, and 18km—featuring rugged, technical trails with rocky sections, steep climbs, fast descents, and coastal rock hopping (coasteering) on longer routes. Runners experience stunning views of beaches, bays, and headlands, including iconic landmarks like Mother Beddock and Flagstaff Hill.
The course is well-marked and marshalled, with on-course hydration and first aid support.
