Rock 'N Reef Trail Run : Bowen (Sunday 28 June 2026)

Rock 'N Reef Trail Run is the fourth event in the Outer Limits Trail Run Series, held at Case Park, Horseshoe Bay Road, Bowen on Sunday 28 June 2026. The event takes place around Edgecumbe Bay in the Whitsundays and uses trails that run along beaches, rocky headlands and lookouts. Distances offered:

• 6 km
• 10 km
• 18 km
• Juniors (short and medium distances only)

Course, entry and race services

Courses are fully marked with pink tape, signs and marshals; junctions show directions for each distance. Trails include rocky and uneven single track, soft sand, stair sections, several out-and-back segments to lookouts and steep climbs and descents. The 10 km and 18 km routes include coasteering and headland sections. GPX files are available for each course. Registration opens 1 December 2025 and closes 27 June 2026. Entry fees vary by distance and by entry period; junior and age restrictions apply (minimum ages: 8 years for short distances, 11 years for longer distances). Entry includes a race bib with electronic timing chip (yours to keep), course marshals, first aid support, on-course hydration and snack support (no cups provided), professional photography and a post-race recovery station with hydration and fruit. Mandatory gear for the 10 km and 18 km includes 2 compression bandages, a fully charged waterproofed phone, a whistle and a space blanket. Toilets are available at the start/finish and Horseshoe Bay foreshore; parking at Case Park may be limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
