Road Kill XC Cross Country Relay
Road Kill XC is a four person, eight mile cross country relay hosted by Trail Racing Over Texas in partnership with Hardloop Endurance as part of the HARRA Fall Series. The event is open to all runners and teams and is held at Bear Creek Pioneers Park in Houston, Texas. Each team member runs a two mile leg on a counter clockwise loop that is marked with blue spray paint and flagging.
The event is USATF sanctioned and follows USATF rules, RRCA community guidelines, and HARRA relay requirements. Teams must carry the relay baton, which contains an RFID chip for timing, and make exchanges only in the designated exchange area with hand to hand transitions. Each runner may run only one leg and each leg must be completed for the team to remain eligible.
Registration is completed online before race day; there is no race day registration. During packet pickup teams receive bibs and a baton; bibs share a team number with suffixes A, B, C, and D and include a tear tag for backup tracking. Clubs and teams may indicate HARRA affiliation during registration; teams with non member or mixed affiliation runners may compete but will not be counted in HARRA standings. Race awards include XC ribbons for all participants and wood engraved medals for winning teams in each division. The start area offers tents with water, electrolyte drink, and post race snacks, and the event operates as a cupless race so runners should bring their own hydration device.
