Monster Dash
Riverton City’s Monster Dash is the municipality’s first Halloween 5K and Mini Monster Triathlon, held along the Jordan River Parkway Trail at Dr. O Roi Hardy Park, 12400 River Vista Dr, Riverton, UT. Costumes are encouraged and medals are awarded at the finish line.
The event includes:
- 5K along the Jordan River Parkway Trail with a medal and participant t-shirt
- Mini Monster Triathlon for ages two to nine: a short run, a bike/scooter/strider/tricycle segment, and a small pumpkin roll
The Mini Monster Triathlon is family oriented; children may be assisted by a parent or guardian on course. Participants are asked to bring a bike, scooter, strider, or tricycle and a helmet. Riverton City notes that bikes and trikes should be attended at all times, as the city is not responsible for lost or damaged items. The Mini Monster Triathlon has a listed cost of $15.
For the 5K, the event page lists general and late registration pricing and a packet pickup location at Riverton City Hall. Packet pickup is scheduled over multiple days with weekday hours Monday through Thursday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
