Riverton Country Races
The Riverton Country Races take place in Riverton, Utah, on July 4th. The event starts and finishes at the Riverton City Park, specifically near the Rodeo Grounds Pavilion area at the southeast corner of the park. Participants can choose from three different distances that accommodate various preferences and ages.
The event features three primary distances:
- 10k
- 5k
- 1 Mile
The 5k course includes a loop on 1300 W and Lover's Lane. For those participating in the 10k, the route includes the Jordan River Parkway Trail. These courses feature water stops located on the trail and at the bottom of the S-curve on 1300 W, where portable toilets are also available.
All participants receive a finisher medal upon completing their respective race. Trophies are awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers in the 10k and 5k events, with additional prizes for first-place winners in each age division. In the 1-mile race, prizes are provided to the top three finishers across several age categories. Refreshments are available at the park pavilion following the races. Early packet pickup is held at a local running center in the weeks leading up to the event, with day-of pickup also available at the park.
