River Rat Obstacle 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk - Lexington, MO
The event takes place on August 29, 2026 at the Battle of Lexington Cross Country Course on the Lexington High School campus, 2309 Aull Lane, Lexington, MO.

This is a fundraiser hosted by The LEX Auditorium & Civic Center. All proceeds are donated to support the Lexington Cross Country team expenses, including out of town meets, gear, and related program costs. Past funds have helped purchase team warm-ups, paid for summer camps, and supported travel to meets.
The course is mostly grass with some dirt trails and one bridged crossing. It is relatively flat with some minor hills and may become muddy in rain. The 5K is a two-loop course with obstacles placed on each loop, approximately 1.5 miles per loop. Examples of obstacles include hay bale hurdles, a car tire maze, an inflatable obstacle course, a giant slip n' slide on the course, and an inflatable slip n' slide finish. The 1 mile event includes hay bale hurdles, a giant slip n' slide on course, and the slip n' slide finish. Obstacles are optional and may be skipped.
Registration details note that pre-registration by July 31 guarantees shirt size. Pre-registered fee is $35; fee is $40 after July 31 and on race day, with shirts provided while supplies last. Registrations are handled through runsignup.com and checks may be made payable to The LEX.
