Event Details
The 44th annual River Edge Run is a community-sponsored event scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2026. The event features three different activities and starts and finishes at Cherry Hill School on Bogert Road in River Edge, New Jersey.
Events
Three main events are offered:
- 5K Run
- 5K Health Walk
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Course and Features
The 5K course runs along a route described as scenic and tree-lined. Water stations and timing clocks are available at the one-mile and two-mile points for both the 5K Run and the 5K Health Walk. The 5K Run is sanctioned and certified by USA Track & Field as a Grand Prix event and is timed by Best Racing Systems. Bag check is available on the event day.
Participant Information
The 5K Run is open to all runners and offers awards for male and female participants in five-year age groups. Strollers are not permitted in the 5K Run. The 5K Health Walk is open to all ages and allows strollers. The 1 Mile Fun Run is also open to all ages. For the Fun Run, t-shirts are guaranteed to those who register by March 21, 2026. An optional Historical Costume Contest is part of the Fun Run.
Proceeds from the 5K Run benefit River Edge parks. The 5K Health Walk is sponsored by the River Edge Municipal Alliance, and the Fun Run is sponsored by the River Edge School District. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
