River City Half Marathon
The River City Half Marathon is a point to point road race in Columbus, GA, presented by Revolution Running with DexaFit Columbus as title sponsor. The course begins at Lake Oliver Marina and finishes at Oxbow Meadows, running largely alongside the Chattahoochee River. Runners pass over the North Highlands Dam and through historic downtown Columbus before reaching the finish near Oxbow Meadows.
The course profile includes about 350 feet of total incline and over 500 feet of total decline. Aid stations are located at mile 2.5, mile 6.75, and mile 10 and will provide electrolyte drinks, water, gels, and fruit. Carrying a bottle, handheld, or hydration pack is strongly encouraged. There is a four hour cutoff for completing the half marathon.
All registered participants receive event apparel; entries made after the hoodie deadline receive a Revolution Running shirt instead of the hoodie. All finishers receive a finisher medal. Packet pickup is available at DexaFit Columbus, 6440 W Hamilton Park Rd Suite B1, Columbus GA 31909, on Friday and Saturday from 8am until 4pm, and at the start line on race morning. DexaFit is offering discounted body scans and VO2 Max tests for participants at packet pickup.
This is a point to point event with a ticketed shuttle available from the finish at Oxbow Meadows to the start at Lake Oliver Marina. Buses pick up from the south end of the Hampton Inn parking lot at 2870 S Lumpkin Rd, Columbus GA. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
