Course

The River City Half Marathon is a point-to-point race. It starts at Lake Oliver Marina in Columbus and finishes at Oxbow Meadows, located just outside of Fort Benning. The route has approximately 350 feet of ascent and over 500 feet of descent, described as extremely fast. Most of the course runs alongside the Chattahoochee River, passing over the North Highlands Dam and through historic Downtown Columbus before finishing through Oxbow Meadows.

Schedule & Logistics

Packet pickup is available at DexaFit Columbus (6440 W Hamilton Park Rd, Suite B1) on Friday and Saturday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. It is also available at the start line (Lake Oliver Marina) on race morning beginning at 6:45 AM. A shuttle bus service is offered from the finish area back to the start; tickets must be purchased separately. The bus pickup on race morning is from the south end of the Hampton Inn parking lot (2870 S Lumpkin Rd).

Participant Information

All registered participants receive a hoodie (subject to a deadline) or a Revolution Running shirt. All finishers receive a medal. Aid stations are positioned at miles 2.5, 6.75, and 10, providing electrolyte drinks, water, gels, and fruit. Carrying a water bottle or hydration pack is strongly encouraged. There is a 4-hour time limit to complete the half marathon. Free food and drinks are provided for finishers at the post-race festivities.
