River City Half Marathon
The River City Half Marathon is scheduled for October 10 - 11, 2026 in Columbus, Georgia along the Columbus Riverwalk. The event features a point to point half marathon that begins at Lake Oliver Marina and finishes at Oxbow Meadows near Fort Benning. The majority of the course follows the Chattahoochee River and passes the North Highlands Dam and downtown Columbus.
The course elevation includes about 350 feet of uphill and over 500 feet of downhill change. Aid stations are located at miles 2.5, 6.75, and 10 and will offer electrolyte drinks, water, gels, and fruit. Carrying a bottle, handheld, or pack is strongly encouraged. Shuttle buses transport ticket holders from the finish back to the start; participants without a shuttle ticket must arrange their own transportation. The typical shuttle pickup location is the Hampton Inn parking area at 2870 S Lumpkin Rd, Columbus GA.
Packet pickup is handled at DexaFit Columbus at 6440 W Hamilton Park Rd Suite B1 and also at the start area on race morning. Registered participants receive event apparel; those registered before the stated deadline receive a hoodie, later registrants receive a Revolution Running shirt. All finishers receive a finisher's medal. The half marathon has a four hour completion cutoff. Refunds are available at 100 percent until three months before the race date; no refunds after that deadline. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
