Riordan King of the Mountain : Wycheproof, VIC
The Riordan King of the Mountain is scheduled for 26 September 2026 in Wycheproof, Victoria. The event program includes multiple short mountain races, relays, a half marathon and looped 5 km events centered on Mount Wycheproof.
Race formats include weight carrying and sprint categories. The main King of the Mount and Queen of the Mount are 1 km uphill races to the summit with weighted loads on the shoulders. Junior and youth sprint races are 1 km with smaller loads or no load. Wheelbarrow relays use wheeled transfer of weighted sacks with teams positioned along the course to hand over the barrow. The half marathon route is an all terrain course through the Mallee landscape and around Mount Wycheproof. A 5 km mountain loop runs around the base before finishing near the summit.
Entry fees are shown for each event and early bird pricing applies to some categories. Sample published fees include A$99 for the King and Queen early bird entries, A$90 for the half marathon, A$60 for wheelbarrow relays, A$40 for several junior and 5 km events, and A$20 for youth dash entries.
