Riding Mountain Half Marathon, 10K, & 5K
The Riding Mountain event takes place on September 20, 2026 in Wasagaming, Manitoba, inside Riding Mountain National Park. The Dauphin Rotary Club, working closely with Parks Canada, organizes the event through RaceRMNP as a series of non profit races that raise funds for active living initiatives.
The courses begin in the Wasagaming (Clear Lake) townsite and feature road running described as scenic for the region of Manitoba. The event is part of the Manitoba Runners Association Celebration Series and is sanctioned by the MRA.
Distances offered include:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K walk/run
Each listed distance includes a finisher medal. The 5K is offered as a run or walk option to enable family participation. Registration is managed in phased pricing windows labeled New Years, Early Bird, Standard, and Procrastinator with the following date ranges listed: New Years Jan 1 to Jan 7, Early Bird Jan 8 to Feb 6, Standard Feb 7 to Jun 6, and Procrastinator Jun 7 to Aug 28.
The Dauphin Rotary Club reports that funds from RaceRMNP events have supported local infrastructure, including a $200,000 donation to the NorthGate Multi-Use Trail System near the northern border of Riding Mountain National Park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
