Event Overview
The Ridge Rambler Half Marathon is a point to point race scheduled for September 26, 2026, in Bridgeport, California. The event begins at Twin Lakes and concludes at an elevation of 6,600 feet. All proceeds from the race are donated to Bridgeport Elementary School.
Course Details
The race takes place on a route that features varying elevations and terrain types.
- Half Marathon: A 13.1 mile point to point course starting at 7,100 feet.
The course begins on the back side of Lower Twin Lake and remains steady as it circles the water. Participants then head downhill toward Buckeye Road at 6,800 feet. After turning onto Buckeye Road, the route climbs the ridge and continues through a series of rolling hills. The highest point on this section reaches 7,130 feet before descending to the finish line.
Logistics
The check in area is located on South Twin Road at a large parking area near the Lower Twin Lake Boating Site. This location is approximately one to two miles away from the starting line. Shuttles are provided to transport participants from the check in booth to the start, with the final shuttle departing 15 minutes before the race begins.
Because this is a point to point course where the start and finish lines are in different locations, a shuttle service is also available to transport runners from the finish line back to their vehicles at the starting point. The course includes three aid stations equipped with water. Water and snacks are provided at the finish line for all participants.
Registration Information
Participants who complete their registration by August 26th are guaranteed a race t-shirt and a medal. Those who register after this date may not receive these items. Finisher medals are distributed at the finish line. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
