Ridge Rambler Half Marathon
The Ridge Rambler event on September 26, 2026 is a point to point Half Marathon near Bridgeport, California, organized by Ridge Rambler 5K & Half Marathon. The start is at Twin Lakes, about 13 miles from the town of Bridgeport, and the finish is at a lower elevation with rolling terrain between the two points.
Race check in is located on South Twin Road near the large parking area identified as the Lower Twin Lake Boating Site. The check in location is not at the starting line and sits about one to two miles from the start. After checking in, participants may take a shuttle to the starting area or drive and park along the road beside the lake. A shuttle will also be available at the finish to return runners to their vehicles.
The course begins at roughly 7,100 feet, follows the lakeshore, drops toward Buckeye Road at about 6,800 feet, then ascends onto a ridge where the highest point reaches about 7,130 feet. From there the route contains rolling hills and finishes near 6,600 feet. There are three aid stations with water along the route; the finish area will include water, snacks, and a medal. Proceeds from the race go to Bridgeport Elementary School. Registration fees are listed as $70 per person or $80 after July 31, and participants who register after August 26 are not guaranteed a t-shirt or medal.
