6th Annual Rick Moyer Legacy Foundation Event
The Rick Moyer Legacy Foundation hosts its annual athletic event in Wilmington, Ohio. Located at 1050 Prarie Ave, this gathering serves as a tribute to its namesake’s interests in weight-lifting, exercise, and the local community. The event supports a scholarship fund for students in Clinton County who plan to pursue higher education in the fields of Agriculture, Criminal Justice, or History.
Participants can choose between two main activities:
- 5k Run/Walk: A 3.1 mile course for runners and walkers.
- Pump n Run: A 3.1 mile event that combines weight-lifting with a run.
The Pump n Run format reflects the foundation’s focus on physical fitness and strength training. Registration for the diverse activities typically opens in early March and remains available until the days leading up to the event in June. Each participant contributes to the foundation’s goal of providing educational opportunities for local youth through their registration fees.
