About the race
Richard's Racers x Hospice Fun Run is a community pre-run and fundraiser held at Beaumont Primary School in Somerset West, Cape Town, South Africa. The event raises funds for Helderberg Hospice and supports care for local patients and families.
The initiative began in 2018, was revived in 2025 through the Winelands Marathon, and continues in 2026 with this pre-run. The programme includes a short community gathering with check-in and a race briefing, followed by running events and a raffle, with acknowledgements before the event closes.
