Resurrection Pass Ultras
The Resurrection Pass Ultras are trail ultramarathons held on the Resurrection Pass Trail in Alaska. The events are described as low key and mostly self supported runs between the communities of Hope and Cooper Landing. The historic trail was a route used by early gold miners to reach claims along Turnagain Arm and is now a National Recreation Trail maintained by the US Forest Service.
Distances offered:
- 100 mile
- 50 mile
The races take place over consecutive days in late July; the 2026 event is scheduled for July 24 and July 25. In 2022 the 100 mile race began at the Hope trailhead and the 50 mile race began at the Cooper Landing trailhead. Race information and past results are published by the organizers, with 2025 results available.
Registration opens on UltraSignup on April 1. The event materials note the self supported nature of the courses and use of the established Resurrection Pass Trail and trailheads for starts and finishes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
