Event overview
The event takes place May 15-17, 2026 at Historic Reesor Ranch in Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park, Saskatchewan. The ranch is one of the province’s oldest working ranches and the surrounding landscape includes rolling grasslands, dense forests, coulees, and conglomerate cliffs. Registration is capped at 300 runners. Race entry includes a meal, beverage, swag, a finisher’s token, and cash prizes for winners.

- Reesor Mountain Marathon - 42 km, 1250 m ascent, 70% trail
- Sundown 10 - 10 km, terrain 100% trail, finish-line aid only
The Reesor 50 lists 6+ aid stations. The Mountain Marathon lists 3+ aid stations. Prize money is listed per course: Reesor 50 - 1st $2177, 2nd $777, 3rd $646; Mountain Marathon - 1st $777, 2nd $377, 3rd $246.
Logistics and services
Ranch accommodations are available on a first-come, first-served basis when bookings open with registration in September 2025. Festival-style camping is $40 per vehicle for the weekend and must be added to registration by May 1, 2026; facilities include bathrooms, portapotties, and showers. Meals are provided with certain race entries and additional meals can be purchased; sample menus include a Saturday dinner with steak or vegetarian option. Refund policy: full refund until February 1, 2026; 50% refund of race fee until April 1, 2026 (meals and camping excluded); no refunds after April 1, 2026. Distance changes allowed until May 1, 2026 with a $5 fee. Deferrals are not offered except for specified pregnancy-related cases. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
