Memorial Day Weekend Race
The Memorial Day Weekend Race at Redfish Lake Lodge is an annual running event that begins and ends at the Lodge. Registration for the Saturday, May 29, 2027 race opens on Thanksgiving Day 2026. The race entry for the current cycle is sold out and no day of registration will occur. Results for 2026 are posted.
Courses run on sand, gravel, paved and dirt trails around the North Shore and the Point Campground. Packet pickup is held in front of the Lodge on the days before the race. Organizers note parking requires planning on race day. Volunteers are accepted via an online form.
Distances
- 5k : around North Shore and Point Campground; sand, gravel, paved, dirt
- 10k : mixed surfaces with paved hills on the back half
- Half Marathon : mixed surfaces; described as challenging; starts and ends at the Lodge
- Kids Race : one mile loop around Point Campground for ages three to ten; free
Entry fees are listed by distance: 5k $50 ($60 after March 1); 10k $60 ($70 after March 1); Half Marathon $75 ($85 after March 1); kids race free. Race participants receive a post-race lunch; meals are also available for purchase at the event tent and nearby dining locations. There is a communal cold plunge off the docks after the race.
Lodging is available at Redfish Lake Lodge and nearby Stanley Town properties. Campsite reservations use the U.S. Forest Service system. Participants and visitors are advised to plan accommodations and parking in advance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
