Memorial Day Weekend Race at Redfish Lake Lodge
The Memorial Day Weekend Race is an annual event with multiple distance options that begin and end at Redfish Lake Lodge. Packet pickup takes place in front of the lodge on the day before the race and on race morning; participants are encouraged to pick up packets on Friday. The event is sold out and no day of registration will occur. Registration for the 2027 race opens on Thanksgiving Day 2026, and 2026 results are posted.
Courses run over a mix of sand, gravel, paved, and dirt trails. The courses pass along the North Shore and around the Point Campground and vary in grade and difficulty by distance.
- 5k: Relatively flat loop around the North Shore and Point Campground.
- 10k: Mixed surfaces with some challenging paved hills on the back half.
- Half Marathon: Longer course on mixed surfaces; described as challenging and rewarding.
- Kids Race: One-mile loop around the Point Campground for ages 3 to 10; free.
There is a pre-race meal on Friday with prices listed for adults and children, and race participants receive a lunch with registration. Additional meals are available for purchase at the event tent and nearby dining locations. Lodging and camping options are available at the lodge and nearby properties; campsite reservations are managed through Recreation.gov with the U.S. Forest Service.
