Red, White and Blue Half Marathon - Austin
The event is scheduled for June 14, 2026 at Tanger Outlets in San Marcos, Texas. Multiple race formats are offered on the same day, including an in-person half marathon and shorter distances plus a virtual option.
Distances offered:
- Kids Dash (about 50 m for ages 10 and under)
- 2 Mile run
- 4 Mile run
- 8 Mile run
- Half Marathon (13.1 miles)
- Virtual Run (13.1 miles)
- Volunteer then Run option for the 4 Mile distance
Race services and participant items are specified for each distance. All finishers receive a race shirt and a finisher medal. The 2 Mile event is not chip timed; the 4 Mile, 8 Mile, and Half Marathon are chip timed. Trophies are awarded to overall winners in the 4 Mile, 8 Mile, and Half Marathon; masters receive special recognition pins. Standard age-group awards include pins for multiple age bands from 10 and under through 70 and older.
Aid stations will provide water on course. A race rally tent will offer snacks and bottled water at the finish area, and a DJ will be present for announcements and music. Packet pickup is offered prior to the event. Shirt availability is guaranteed only through a cutoff ten days before the event.
Volunteer roles include water station attendant, course monitor, finish line helper, packet pickup, lead bike, sweeper, mascot, and other positions. Volunteer benefits can include a race shirt, VIP access, and a choice of a free future race entry or a $20 prepaid digital gift card. The organizer notes courses are typically at parks and green belts and may include pavement, crushed granite, and dirt paths, and that events proceed regardless of weather.
