Red River Run : Lake Agassiz Pacers
The Red River Run is an annual running event organized by the Lake Agassiz Pacers. The race series has run since 1974 and the 2026 edition marks the 52nd anniversary.
The event takes place at MB Johnson Park, 3601 11th St N, Moorhead. The course is USTF certified. A small all-abilities 1/2 mile uses concrete surfaces. Other distances use unpaved trails through the park, which may be slippery or muddy in wet weather. Strollers and pets are not permitted on the winding trail sections.
Awards are handed out at the finish line without a formal ceremony. Packet pick up occurs at MB Johnson Park and race day registration is available. Post-race snacks are provided and door prizes totalling over $1,000 are offered. The event supports Hope Inc., a local 501c3 non-profit that provides sporting and recreational opportunities for families in the Fargo Moorhead and Grand Fork communities.
