Red River Run
The Red River Run, organized by the Lake Agassiz Pacers, is a trail running event held along river pathways in MB Johnson Park in Moorhead (3601 11th St N). The event date is September 18, 2027. The course is USATF certified.
Races use unpaved trails for the longer distances and concrete for the shortest event. Runners complete loops of the park: the 5K is one loop, the 10K is two loops, and the 15K is three loops. There is also a 1/2 mile all-abilities event held on concrete surfaces.
Awards are handed out at the finish line without a ceremony. Race day packet pick up and race day registration take place at MB Johnson Park. The organizers note that rain may make some parts of the trail slippery or muddy, and they request no strollers or pets on the trail because some sections are winding and narrow. The event includes post-race snacks and over $1,500 in door prizes. The run has been held since 1974 and marks an anniversary year in 2027.
