Red River Run

The Red River Run has been held since 1974. The 2026 edition marks the event's 51st anniversary and is scheduled for September 19, 2026. The Lake Agassiz Pacers organize the race and plan to use trails along the river.

The event includes two races and the course will be USTF Certified. Packet pick up is at MB Johnson Park (3601 11th St N, Moorhead). Awards are distributed at the finish line with no formal ceremony. Race day registration is available.

Participants should be aware that rain can make parts of the trail slippery or muddy. Due to the winding and sometimes narrow nature of the route, strollers and pets are not permitted. Post-race snacks are provided, and the event includes over $1,000 in door prizes. Event photographs are posted on the race Facebook page.
