RDM Trail Race - May 22, 2027
The event takes place in Trussville, AL and offers two trail distances:
- 5M : single 5 mile loop on technical single-track trail
- 5K : same route with sections cut off
The course starts and finishes at the parking lot of the Trussville Senior Citizens Center. Roughly 90% of the route is on trail with multiple switchbacks, elevation changes, roots and rocks. There is one aid station near the halfway mark and additional support at the start/finish area. Trail shoes or hiking boots are recommended depending on pace.
Packet pickup is available at the start/finish area on the morning of the event. Bibs for the 5K and 5 mile distances use different colors.
All registrants receive a finisher medal. The 1st–3rd overall male and female finishers in both the 5K and the 5 mile receive a 24e membership: 1st : 12 month, 2nd : 6 month, 3rd : 3 month. Age-division awards are presented separately; divisions are Under 20, 21–35, 36–50, and Masters (50+). First overall finishers receive only their overall prize rather than an age-division prize.
Registration fees range from USD 31.00 to USD 42.00. The field is capped at 150 competitors. Participants who register for both distances will be placed in the 5 mile awards and receive an additional event item. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
