Ranch Run Half Marathon 10th Annual
The event takes place on June 20, 2026 in Geraldine, Montana, with race activities centered at 310 Main Street. It is a county road race held on Geyser Cutoff Road between Geraldine and Geyser, Montana.
The courses run on gravel country roads and travel through foothills, prairie and town. The half marathon traverses the foothills between the Highwood Mountains and Round Butte and descends into town. The 5K follows a gradual descent into town with views of Square Butte and Round Butte. The 1 mile memorial fun run loops around town and provides a town tour and a view of the butte.
Runners may encounter local wildlife including deer, antelope, elk, coyotes, cows and possibly snakes. Strollers with large tires are recommended for the gravel surface. Post-race offerings include craft beer and ice cream, and Milk & Honey will offer breakfast food and treats. Bus transportation is available from Fresh Start Co-Op Grocery Store.
Registration opens February 9, 2026 and closes June 6, 2026. Participants who register by June 6 are guaranteed a race shirt; late registrants must arrange local pickup and shirts are provided to participants only. Awards are given to 1st through 3rd place finishers by Youth, Junior and Adult divisions for the 5K and half marathon, plus 1st place age-group awards.
