RAMP River Run
The RAMP River Run is an annual multisport event held in downtown Rockford, Illinois. This event features several distances along the Rock River, including a USATF certified half marathon that serves as a 2026 RRR Circuit Race. The courses utilize local bike paths and city streets, crossing the river at Riverside Blvd.
Participants can choose from several event categories:
- Half Marathon Run (13.1 Miles)
- 5K Run
- 3K Walk/Wheel-A-Thon
The 13.1 Miles half marathon starts at the corner of Market and Water Streets, heading north on the bike path toward Sportscore for the turnaround. The 5K Run is an out-and-back course along the Rock River. The 3K Walk/Wheel-A-Thon is designed as a family-friendly activity.
Course support is available for a limited window of time throughout the morning. For the 5K and 3K events, baby joggers and strollers are permitted; however, they are not allowed on the half marathon route. Only service animals are permitted on any of the courses. Registered participants who sign up by July 20th are guaranteed an event t-shirt. The event is a fundraiser for RAMP, a non-profit organization supporting individuals with disabilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
