31st Annual Ramah Navajo Fair and Rodeo Run and Walk
This event takes place during the Ramah Navajo Fair and Rodeo in Pine Hill and offers running and walking options for community and visiting participants. It includes competition for Age Group and Overall Champion awards and a separate entry for people who prefer to walk. The first 50 registered participants receive T shirts. Packet pick up is available on the event day at the event site.
Courses are on gravel and dirt roads and are well marked. The 5K course is an out and back route with a slight decline and incline. The 10K course features rolling hills beginning after the first mile, a downhill descent past water tanks, and a three quarters of a mile incline back to the finish. Elevation for both courses ranges from 7,300 feet to 7,600 feet.
Support on course and at the event area includes water stations, refreshments at the start and finish area, portable restrooms, and an on site massage therapist. The event location is listed as Pine Hill on BIA Route 125 Highway and BIA Route 154, about 3.5 miles north of Pine Hill Market. Entry fees vary by distance.
