Rainbow Run 5K 2026
The Rainbow Run 5K 2026 is an annual athletic event held in Jackson, Mississippi. Now in its fifth year, the event is organized by MS Capital City Pride to honor LGBTQ+ individuals and their allies. The race serves as a fundraiser for LGBTQ+ causes and focuses on celebrating diversity within the community.
The course takes participants through the historic Fondren neighborhood. The start and finish lines are located at Broadmeadow United Methodist Church park. Participants can choose between several physical and virtual categories:
- 5K Run
- 5K Walk
- Kid's Fun Run (approximately 0.5 miles)
- Virtual Pride Racer
The event includes a packet pickup service the day before the race at the church, with an additional pickup option on the morning of the event. Onsite registration is also available for those who do not register in advance. MS Capital City Pride is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization dedicated to providing safe spaces and advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community in the Jackson Metro area. The "Pride Warrior" option is available for those who wish to support the cause and receive event materials such as a shirt, medal, and swag bag without participating in the physical race.
