About the race
Ragnar Trail South Cascades takes place June 26-27, 2026 at Willamette Pass Resort near Crescent Lake, Oregon. The event is a team trail relay that uses singletrack, cross-country ski trails, and steeper climbing sections through the South Cascades. The course moves through volcanic peaks and alpine lakes and passes views of Diamond Peak, the Central Cascades, and Odell Lake. The route includes sections near Rosary Lakes and offers varied trail surfaces from smooth singletrack to more rugged climbs.
By night, running and camping occur under mountain skies at the event village. Ragnar Village at Willamette Pass Ski Resort provides on-site camping and communal amenities. The village includes a bonfire area, music, yoga, indoor restaurant and bar with outdoor seating, and local food vendors. Facilities include indoor restrooms and portable restrooms near camping.
Nearby lodging options list cabins, campgrounds, and RV sites; gondola rides and a disc golf course are also available. Typical weather for this time of year is generally sunny with afternoon highs commonly in the mid 60s to mid 70s and nighttime lows in the 50s; participants are advised to bring layers for cooler temperatures.
