Road SoCal
Road SoCal is a road relay that follows the California coast from San Diego to Huntington Beach. The route passes through coastal towns including La Jolla, Encinitas and Cardiff-by-the-Sea and offers sustained ocean views along much of the course. Major exchanges include NTC Park at Liberty Station and Torrey Pines Gliderport, and the finish is at Huntington State Beach.
The course totals 196 miles with an average of 12.6 - 22.5 miles per runner. Elevation gain is described as moderately challenging. Major exchanges reunite Van 1 and Van 2 and feature a festival-like atmosphere with partner demos; the finish line includes a beach celebration area where teams may enter the Pacific.
Team registration options and listed prices are: Standard Team $1,950 for 12 runners over 2 days and 1 night ($162 per runner), Ultra Team $1,250 for 6 runners over 2 days and 1 night ($208 per runner), Sprint Team $540 for 5 runners over 1 day ($108 per runner).
Each team package lists partner samples, a captain's gift, team medals and team finisher shirts. Sleeping arrangements combine indoor and outdoor accommodations.
