14th Annual Racing for Donation
The Racing for Donation is an annual athletic event held at The District at Eastover in Jackson, Mississippi. Now in its 14th year, the event serves to raise awareness for organ, eye, and tissue donation registration. Participants can choose between different distances and formats:
- 8k Chip-timed Run
- 5k Chip-timed Run
- 5k Chip-timed Walk
The course is located at 1250 Eastover Drive. Registration is available for both individuals and teams, with teams requiring a minimum of four participants. Online registration typically closes two days before the event, though walk-up registration is available on the morning of the race. The event takes place regardless of rain or weather conditions.
Bib and t-shirt pickup is scheduled for the day prior to the race at The District at Eastover. T-shirts are provided to the first 250 registrants. All three race categories are chip-timed for accuracy. Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top finishers in various age groups ranging from 19 and under to 70 and over. A specific award is also designated for the largest participating team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
