Race to Zero
Race to Zero is an in-person, family friendly fundraiser organized by Zacharias Sexual Abuse Center. It takes place on September 20, 2026 at Independence Grove Forest Preserve, 16400 Buckley Road, Libertyville, Illinois.
The event includes a chip timed 5K run or walk and a 1 Mile family walk. Registration fee is $35 per person for the 5K and $35 per family for the 1 Mile walk. A post-race celebration is part of the event.
Proceeds support services that ZCenter provides at no charge to survivors of sexual violence and their families. These services include a 24-hour support line, in-person and virtual counseling, and prevention education programs. All runners receive a t-shirt, and participants who raise over $100 receive a ZCenter Race Bag.
