Race the North Face Brandon Hills
The event takes place in the Brandon Hills Wildlife Management Area near Brandon, Manitoba. The course utilizes over 50 km of single-track trails. Three race distances are offered: 10 km, 25 km, and 50 km. There is also a kids run.
The area features hills created by a glacial deposit. The 50 km course has 1200m of elevation gain. Runners on the 50 km distance complete two loops, while the 10 km and 25 km routes are single-loop courses. A notable section called the "SPINE" provides prairie views for approximately 2.5 km.
Registration is open to participants aged 15 or older for the 10 km (with a signed parental waiver) and 18 or older for the 25 km and 50 km events. No refunds are offered after registration, but bib transfers are permitted until August 1, 2026. 50 km runners are allowed a drop bag at the start/finish area (the 25 km point). Aid stations are provided on the 25 km and 50 km courses, but not on the 10 km route. The event is cupless; participants must bring their own method for carrying fluids. Carrying hydration is mandatory for all 25 km and 50 km runners.
A 10-hour cutoff time is enforced for the 50 km distance. The race is held on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
