Race for the Crown (5K & Medieval Mile)
Race for the Crown takes place at the Michigan Renaissance Festival grounds in Holly, Michigan on August 30, 2026. The event offers two distance options:
- 5K Run/Walk
- Medieval Mile (1 mile)
Both events start and finish in Holly Grove Village on the festival grounds and occur before the festival opens to the public. The listed registration window opens January 26, 2026 and closes May 24, 2026. Entry fees are shown for each distance: the 5K has a registration fee of $60.00 and the Medieval Mile has a registration fee of $50.00.
Registration includes chip timing with live results, a custom Dri-Fit event shirt, a Michigan Renaissance Festival ticket (listed as a $28 value), free parking (listed as a $15 value), a custom finisher medal, overall and age group awards, free professional race photos, and post-race refreshments.
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event at Complete Runner in Grand Blanc at 11303 S Saginaw St, Grand Blanc, MI 48439, and on event day at the Michigan Renaissance Festival front gate at 12600 Dixie Hwy, Holly, MI 48442.
