Race Information
The Race for the Crown is a running event on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at the Michigan Renaissance Festival in Holly, Michigan. The address is 12600 Dixie Hwy, Holly, MI 48442. The event includes a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile Medieval Mile. The 5K starts first, followed by the Medieval Mile.
Course Details
The course starts and finishes in the Holly Grove Village area of the festival grounds. The race takes place on the iconic grounds of the Renaissance Festival before the venue opens to the general public for the day.
Registration and Fees
Registration includes several items:
- Chip timing with live results.
- A custom Dri-Fit event shirt.
- An entry ticket to the Michigan Renaissance Festival.
- Free parking at the venue.
- A custom finisher medal.
- Professional race photos.
- Post-race refreshments. Prices increase after May 24, 2026.
Packet Pickup
Participants can collect their race packets at two locations and times: Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
- On Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Complete Runner in Grand Blanc (11303 S Saginaw St).
- On race day, Sunday, August 30, from 6:00 AM to 7:45 AM at the front gate of the Michigan Renaissance Festival.
