Nottingham 10k at Victoria Embankment
The event takes place at Victoria Embankment on the Meadows Ground in Nottingham, beside the River Trent. The start and finish are on grass on a field off Wilford Grove, near the Council Building. The course combines tarmac, hardstanding paths and grass and includes some small inclines and declines over Wilford Suspension and Trent Bridge.
Available distances:
- 10k double lap of the 5k route.
- 5k single lap.
The route is described as largely flat with a mixture of surfaces; grass sections may become soft or muddy in wet weather and could become slippery. The 10k uses the 5k loop twice, which may cause congestion at the split point.
Facilities listed for the event include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The site is suitable for pushchairs and the event is wheelchair accessible with assistance. There are no bike racks. General event parking is provided on a sports field with an entrance off Bathley Street; parking is on grass and involves about a 10 minute walk from the parking area to the event site. Two BP electric vehicle charging points are available at the Victoria Embankment car park off Felton Road and Green Street. The nearest train station is Nottingham, about a 25 minute walk from the venue.
The event lists a minimum fundraising target of £50 and example ticket prices of £8.74 for adults and £5.50 for children. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
