The course is a double lap of the 5k route on paths around the park. The start area is on hardstanding and the finish is on grass. Surfaces on the route include tarmac and grass; the ground is generally flat and firm underfoot but may become soft or muddy in wet weather. Organisers note possible congestion around the event site.
Facilities available at the site include refreshments, toilets, allowance of dogs, suitability for pushchairs, and wheelchair accessibility with assistance. Bag drop, showers and general parking are not available on site. Blue Badge parking is available on tarmac approximately 150 meters from the event. Ten bike racks are provided in the park. Local public transport options include nearby Overground and Underground stations and local bus services.
Child entry is for ages 6 to 15 and requires registration by a parent, guardian or a consenting adult over 18. Children under six can attend free but are not registered participants. Registered participants receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support materials and a Race for Life medal on completion.
