The course is circular with the start and finish on East Heath Carpark overflow. The route uses tarmac and runs through woodland, including a few steep hills in places. The main meeting point is the entrance at the junction of Downshire Hill and East Heath Road; the closest postcode for the event site is NW3 1TH.
There is no general event parking. Drop-offs and Blue badge parking are available in East Heath Carpark. Cycle racks are available in the carpark. Public transport options include buses 210, 268, 603, N5 and 310. Hampstead Heath rail (London Overground) is about a 5-7 minute walk to East Heath Road; Hampstead Underground is about a 15-20 minute walk.
On-site facilities include refreshments, toilets, bag drop and dog access. Showers are not available; the course is not suitable for pushchairs and is unsuitable for wheelchair users due to very uneven wooded areas with sharp inclines and declines. Accessibility provisions include sunflower wristbands at enquiries, Event Managers trained as Dementia Friends and a QR code for British Sign Language stage content.
