London - Blackheath 10k

The start and finish are on grass and the course is mainly on grass, winding up and down the heath. The route crosses some roads around the common; these roads are closed for safety. The Blackheath course is described as relatively flat. The 10k distance comprises two laps of the course. In wet weather the grass sections may become boggy.
Facilities on site include refreshments and toilets. Dogs are allowed. The venue is suitable for pushchairs. Bag drop, showers and event parking are not available. The course is wheelchair accessible with assistance; most crossings have drop kerbs though there may be one without a drop kerb.
Travel notes state there is no designated event parking and parking bays around the common will be suspended. Blue badge parking is available in local car parks. The nearest train station is Blackheath, about a ten minute walk. Local buses stop on Prince Charles Road or Prince of Wales Road and nearby bike racks are on Tranquil Vale.
Participants are chip timed and receive a fundraising pack, a customisable back sign, training support and a Race for Life medal on finishing.
