The start and finish are on grass and the course is mainly on short cut grass across the heath, with some gentle rises and falls. The course crosses a few roads that will be closed for the event. The Blackheath route is described as relatively flat and the 10k is chip timed.
Facilities and access information are provided on site. Available facilities include refreshments and toilets; dogs are allowed and pushchairs are suitable. The course is wheelchair accessible with assistance, though grass may become boggy in bad weather and there may be one crossing without a drop kerb. Sunflower wristbands and British Sign Language stage content are available. There is no designated event parking; nearby Blue Badge parking is in local car parks. The nearest train station is Blackheath, about a 10 minute walk, and several bus services stop on Prince Charles Road or Prince or Wales Road.
