London - Beckenham Place Park Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy 5k obstacle course held within Beckenham Place Park in London. The route stays inside the park and uses a mixture of grass, paths, tarmac, gravel and woodland. The terrain includes steep inclines and undulating areas with a maximum gradient of 18 percent. In wet weather grass and woodland sections may become muddy or slippery and the ground under the start and finish areas is soft and uneven.
Wave starts are staggered every 15 minutes. The start line is on the open grass area near Beckenham Place Mansion and the finish line is opposite the start. There is a note of possible congestion at the start area and at the 3 km split point. An alternative route exists to bypass some inclines which may shorten the course.
Facilities listed as available include refreshments and toilets. The event is not wheelchair accessible and is not suitable for pushchairs. Dogs, bag drop and showers are not available. There is no parking at the venue; parking options exist on surrounding residential roads and blue badge parking is accessed via the Beckenham Hill Road entrance. Public transport options include bus number 54 and Beckenham Hill train station about 0.5 miles away. Cycle parking is limited to approximately 16 spaces in the cafe courtyard.
