London - Beckenham Place Park Pretty Muddy 5k
The event is a Pretty Muddy obstacle course of 5k contained within Beckenham Place Park. The route uses a mixture of grass, paths, tarmac, gravel and woodland and includes steep inclines, undulating areas and obstacles to climb, crawl and slide. The course has a maximum gradient of 18 percent and an alternative route can bypass some inclines, which may shorten the distance.
The start line is on the open grass area near Beckenham Place Mansion and the finish line is opposite the start. Waves begin every 15 minutes to manage safety on the course; groups are asked to choose the same wave time. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to take part; there are separate Pretty Muddy Kids events for younger children.
Practical information includes no parking at the venue with parking options on surrounding residential roads, blue badge parking accessed via Beckenham Hill Road, and no designated drop-off zone. The nearest train station is Beckenham Hill at about 0.5 miles and the nearest bus is number 54 at Highland Croft stop. There are roughly 16 cycle spaces in the cafe courtyard.
Facilities listed as available are refreshments and toilets. The site is not wheelchair accessible and pushchairs are not suitable. Dogs are not allowed. The event shows a minimum fundraising target of £50 and Earlybird ticket prices of £11.24 for adults and £6.00 for children.
