Race 4 Independence
Race 4 Independence takes place on July 25, 2026, at Purdue University Fort Wayne Alumni Plaza on the university campus in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event offers multiple course options routed through the Purdue Fort Wayne campus area located between the Walb Student Union and the Library off Walb Circle Drive. Parking is free in P2, the parking garage next to the Walb Student Union.

- 2.5K Walk (Family)
- 2.5K Walk for wheelchair users
- 2.5K Walk for assisted walking and low vision
Registration opens April 24, 2026, and closes July 25, 2026. Registration fees listed for the events range from $15 to $40 depending on the entry option. The League organizes the event to provide and promote opportunities for people with disabilities and to support independence through programs and services.
The event is pet friendly; pets must be leashed at all times. In cases of severe or adverse weather, the race team will monitor conditions using Weatherbug and will provide notifications via the RunSignUp app. Unless severe storms and lightning occur, the event will proceed as planned.
