The Race for GRACE takes place on May 9, 2026 in Richland Center, Wisconsin at 1996 US Hwy 14. The event is organized by Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination Inc. (GRACE) to raise funds and promote cancer prevention. The organization serves Richland County and surrounding townships.
Race details
Events include:
- 1/4 mile kids run
- 1 mile run/walk (includes a Firefighter Challenge)
- 5K run/walk
- 3.5 mile trail run (off-road, cross-country style course)
The Firefighter Challenge is for teams of three or more firefighters from the same department. Each team pays a $100 registration fee. Team members must wear turnout coat and pants and must finish together. Medals are provided to firefighters identified before April 17 who participate in the 1-mile race. Registration for the Firefighter Challenge ends May 8, 2026.
Registration prices listed for events include $15 for the kids run, $20 for the 1-mile, and $30 for most races; prices increase after March 31, 2026. Registration includes a swag bag and a Sport-Tek t-shirt for those registered by April 23. Same-day registration is available but does not guarantee a t-shirt or swag bag.
Packet pickup is available May 8 from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the Richland Center Community Center, 1050 N. Orange St., or the morning of the race from 6:30 am to 7:30 am. Parking is available at the Richland Center High School track.
Charity distribution
In 2025 GRACE allocated funds as follows: 58% to cancer patients, 25% to cancer research, 10% to the local medical community, 5% to a preventative fund, and 2% to operating costs.
