Event Overview

The Race for GRACE is an outdoor running and walking event hosted by Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination (GRACE) in Richland Center, Wisconsin. The event serves as a fundraiser to support local individuals battling cancer while promoting physical activity as a means of health improvement and risk reduction. All featured races start and finish on the Richland Center High School track.

Participants can choose from a variety of distances designed to accommodate different abilities:

  • 1/4 mile kids run
  • 1 mile fun run or walk
  • 5K fun run or walk
  • 3.5 mile trail run

The 3.5 mile trail run is an off-road course featuring hills and views of the surrounding area. The 1 mile event includes a dedicated First Responders Challenge, where teams of firefighters, police, and EMS personnel compete in uniform or gear.

Registration includes a moisture-wicking polyester short-sleeve shirt and a swag bag containing items from local businesses, such as sunscreen and local food coupons. Participants also have the option to use pledge sheets to raise additional funds for the organization. Packet pickup is available the day prior to the event at the Richland Center Community Center and on the morning of the event at the high school track.

The event follows WIAA guidelines for student athletes; those participating in spring sports are required to obtain school authorization before registering. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
