Race for Grace - Richland Center
The Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination Inc. (GRACE) presents the third annual Race for Grace on May 9, 2026, in Richland Center, WI. The event combines multiple running and walking events with fundraising for cancer prevention and financial assistance for people battling cancer. All races start and finish on the Richland Center High School track.
Event distances and formats include:
- 1/4 mile kids run for ages 12 and under
- 1 mile run/walk, including the First Responders Challenge
- 5K run/walk on a measured road course
- 3.5 mile trail run on a marked off-road course with hills and local views
The First Responders Challenge is a team event within the 1 mile race with separate divisions for firefighters, police and paramedics. Teams require three or more members from the same department, must finish together, and are chip timed. Firefighter teams are required to wear turnout coat and pants; helmet and air tank are optional. Police teams must wear uniforms and vests. Team registration includes a $100 fee and medals are awarded to identified participants registered before April 17.
Registration includes a swag bag and a Sport-Tek t-shirt if registered before April 23. Same day registration will not guarantee a t-shirt or swag bag. Packet pickup is available May 8 at the Richland Center Community Center and the morning of the event at the high school track concession stand. Parking is available at the track.
GRACE directs funds to local cancer support and prevention; in 2025 allocation included support for patients, research, local medical needs, prevention, and operating costs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
