Race for Grace Place

Race for Grace Place is a community fundraising event held on March 28, 2026, at Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church, 305 North Congress Street, Jackson, MS. The event includes the following options:

  • 5K Run
  • 5K Walk
  • Block Walk

The race raises funds to sustain Grace Place, a ministry that serves people who are food insecure. Grace Place provides breakfast four days a week, operates a clothing closet, offers worship opportunities and celebrations, and supports relationships between people who are housed and those who are unhoused.

Logistics and event details

Packet pick-up is available at Grace Place the day before the event and on race morning. Online registration closes on March 27; onsite registration is available on race day. Parking options include the lot between the church offices and Grace Place, a lot across the street from the Galloway Sanctuary, on-street parking, and additional spaces at St. Peter’s Church and nearby offices; note that the lot between buildings will be closed on race day.

Awards are presented after the 5K run and walk. Award categories include top three men and women for both running and walking 5K, overall team, Tot Trot (4 and under) overall male and female, and Fun Run overall male and female. Art sales, Foundery tours, and a post-race meal for participants are offered the morning of the event.
