Race for DFL - Beast Coast Backyard Ultra
Race for DFL is a last-runner-standing backyard ultra held at Kenty’s Farm in Winchendon, MA on November 6–8, 2026. The event uses a single loop for multiple formats and includes themed community hours during the weekend.
Distances and event formats include:
- Backyard Ultra (4.16667 mile loop)
- Fastest single lap (4.167 miles)
- 6-hour timed event
- 12-hour timed event
- 24-hour timed event
- 48-hour timed event
This is a BRONZE Ticket Backyard Ultra; the winner qualifies for a Silver Ticket backyard ultra.
Course details: the loop is 4.16667 miles long, with terrain split roughly 10% grass, 50% single/double-track dirt trail, and 40% crushed gravel. Elevation gain is approximately 150 feet per lap. The same 4.16667 mile loop is used for the backyard ultra, fastest lap, and timed events. A GPX route will be shared when available.
Logistics and site notes: the race is held in a private yard setting. Parking is 100–200 yards from the start/finish and an ATV with trailer will assist with gear transport; vehicles cannot reach the start/finish area. Check-in and camp access begin on Friday. Aid station supplies are a rotating assortment of leftover ultra foods; community contributions are welcome. Runners and volunteers receive pompom hats. Pacers: for the backyard ultra one pacer per runner is allowed after 12 hours and not allowed after 24 hours; for timed events pacers are permitted after 6 hours, one at a time.
