Event overview
Race for DFL is a last runner standing backyard ultra with BRONZE Ticket status, presented on private farmland in Winchendon, MA. The format follows Backyard Ultra rules and can lead toward qualification for larger Backyard Ultra events.
The course is a 4.1666 mile loop. Competitors must complete one loop each hour and be ready to start the next to remain in the backyard ultra. The event continues until one runner completes one more lap than any other competitor and completes that lap in under an hour.
There is an option for participants who want to complete up to 12 laps (50 miles) without competing for the overall backyard ultra victory; those entrants are not eligible for the overall win. Separate timed options also allow continuous running without the hourly lineup.
