Pup-A-Go 5K Hike/Run
Pup-A-Go is a community 5K hike and run scheduled for January 10, 2027, in Phoenix, AZ, at the Papago Park West Butte Trailhead. The event is organized by GhostHead Productions in partnership with Home Fur Good.
Participants may hike or run solo or bring dogs. A portion of registration fees will be donated to Home Fur Good, a no kill animal shelter. The course is one counterclockwise loop around Papago Park and returns to the start; it will be marked at critical junctions.
Dogs must be leashed at all times, be up to date on vaccinations, and owners are asked to pick up after their animals. Doggie waste bags will be provided at the start. An aid station at the start will offer cold water, hydration mix, snacks, and bananas; there are no other aid stations on course, so participants should plan personal hydration and fuel accordingly.
Additional parking is available across the street from the start area at 625 N Galvin Parkway, a short walk to the trailhead. Restrooms will be set up at the start. The event is planned to take place rain or shine and there are no refunds for cancellations. Registration closes on December 25; entries made by that date may not guarantee event swag. All paid 5K entrants receive a Pup-A-Go sticker and commemorative Pup-A-Go / Home Fur Good swag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
