Pup-A-Go 5k Hike/Run
Pup-A-Go is a community 5K hike and run in Phoenix, AZ, organized by GhostHead Productions in partnership with Home Fur Good. The event is the third annual Pup-A-Go and takes place at Papago Park West Butte Trailhead. Hikers and runners may participate with their dogs or run solo, and the event notes that participants should respect others on the course.
The 5K course is one counterclockwise loop around Papago Park and finishes where it starts. The route will be well marked at critical junctions. Additional parking is available across the street from the start at 625 N Galvin Parkway, about a five-minute walk to the start area. Restrooms will be set up at the start.
Dogs must be vaccinated and kept on leash at all times while on the course and throughout the event. Doggie poop bags will be provided at the start. An aid station at the start will be stocked with cold water, hydration mix, snacks, and bananas; participants are advised to bring their own hydration for the course because there are no other aid stations. A portion of registration fees will be donated to Home Fur Good, a no kill animal shelter. The event will take place rain or shine and registrations are nonrefundable. Entries received by 12/25 may not guarantee Pup-A-Go swag. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
