Pumpkin Run 5K & Munchkin Mile, Malone NY
The event offers two running distances held at Malone Recreational Park with a central hub at the Kelly Pavilion.
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Munchkin Mile (1 mile)
The 5K is open to adults and children ages 5 and up; children ages 5 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Every 5K finisher receives a medal and is entered in prize drawings that include cash and a season pass to Titus Mountain. A pile of pumpkins will be available at the start line for any 5K participant who wishes to carry a pumpkin for the race and keep it afterward. Prize drawings are limited to 5K participants.
The Munchkin Mile is open to ages 10 and under and follows a paved, largely wooded walking path on the State Street side of the park. Volunteers will be present along the route, and parents or guardians are encouraged to accompany their children; parents assume responsibility for unaccompanied runners. Munchkin participants receive a medal and are invited to decorate a real pumpkin to take home. Parents or guardians may join their munchkins at no cost.
Both events take place rain or shine. Registration is non refundable. Registration opens June 30, 2026 and closes August 30, 2026. Fees are listed per event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
