5K Pumpkin Run & Munchkin Mile - Malone
The event on 09/26/2026 at 88 State Street, Malone NY includes two community runs held at Malone Recreational Park with start and finish at the Kelly Pavilion. Distances offered:

- 1 mile Munchkin Mile for children ages 10 and under
The Pumpkin Run 5K is open to adults and children ages 5 and up; children ages 5 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Every participant who crosses the 5K finish line receives a finisher medal and is entered in prize drawings reserved for 5K participants. Organizers list prizes that include a Titus Mountain season pass, rounds of golf at Malone Golf Club, cash, fitness memberships, gift cards, electronics, and outdoor gear. The event is described as a no-pressure event and participants are encouraged to go at their own pace. A Great Pumpkin Challenge places a pile of pumpkins at the 5K start for any runner who wants to carry one for the entire race and keep it afterward.
The Munchkin Mile is a one-mile roundtrip on a paved walking path through a wooded area of the park. Children must be accompanied to the event by an adult; volunteers will be along the route but parents or guardians remain responsible for unaccompanied children. Munchkin participants receive a medal and are invited to decorate a real pumpkin to take home.
