Event

Pumpkin Plod is scheduled for 25 October 2026 at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough, PE2 5UU. The event runs in a timed format of either four or six hours; participants run as many laps as they choose within the time limit. It is open to entrants aged 18 and over. Ferry Meadows is described as one of the largest country parks in the region, located less than three miles from Peterborough city centre.

Course and logistics

The course is a multi-terrain lap of 5.3 km, made up of gravel footpaths and some grass areas. The Race HQ and lap point are based at the Lakeside Centre on the watersports side of the park; registration and bib collection take place at the Lakeside Centre. There is an aid station at the lap point on every lap. Parking at the park is chargeable. The event is cupless, so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Organisers provide a bespoke event medal (with a non-specific finisher medal option available) and virtual places for people who want the medal but cannot attend in person.
