Pumpkin Plod at Ferry Meadows
Pumpkin Plod takes place at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough PE2 5UU on 25 October 2026. The event is offered in two duration options: a six hour option and a four hour option. Participants run as many laps as they wish around a 5.3 km multi terrain loop that uses mainly gravel footpaths and some grass areas.
Distances that can be completed during the event include:
- 5k
- 10k
- Half marathon
- Full marathon
- Ultra marathon
A standard half marathon is five laps with the option to change to six or seven laps on the day. A standard ultra is nine laps with the possibility to increase this up to around twelve laps depending on time available. There is an aid station at the Race HQ/Base Camp on the lap point and no navigation or specific kit is required for the course.
Race registration and bib collection are based at the Lakeside Centre on the watersports side of the park. Baggage is left in vehicles near the start line. Parking at the park is chargeable. A bespoke event medal is provided to finishers unless a lucky dip finisher medal option is chosen. Virtual places are available for those who want the medal but cannot attend in person. This is a cupless event so participants should bring their own bottles or cups for refilling. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
