Event overview
Pumpkin Plod is a timed running event organised by Zig Zag Running at Ferry Meadows, Peterborough (PE2 5UU). The event is offered as a 6-hour or 4-hour timed session. Participants run repeated laps of a measured loop and may complete standard road and ultra distances during the session. Entry fees are listed between £33 and £38. Maximum entrants are 300 and entries close on 24/10/2026. Minimum age is 18 on the event date. Virtual entries are available for those who cannot attend in person.
Location and course
The event base is at Ferry Meadows, Ham Lane, Peterborough. The lap is a multi-terrain loop of 5.3 km, consisting mainly of gravel footpaths and some grass or trail sections. Race HQ and the lap point include an aid station with water available each lap. The organisers recommend road trainers, with trail shoes optional depending on prior weather. Parking at the park is chargeable. The event is cupless - participants should bring their own bottles or cups.
Logistics and finish
Registration is based at the Lakeside Centre / race registration area near the start. Baggage is to be left inside cars close to the startline.
