Event Overview
The Pumpkin Plod takes place at Ferry Meadows in Nene Park, Peterborough. The setting is one of the largest country parks in the region, situated approximately three miles from Peterborough City Centre. The course consists of a 5.3 km lap that traverses a variety of landscapes, including footpaths and trail areas.
Participants can choose between a 6 hour timed event or a 4 hour timed event. The format allows runners to complete as many laps as they wish within their chosen timeframe. Participants may rest between laps at the Base Camp or continue running; any lap started before the time limit expires can be completed. This multi-terrain course is suitable for reaching various distances, including:

- Half Marathon
- Full Marathon
- Ultra Marathon
Course and Logistics
The terrain is composed of country park footpaths and grass areas. Road trainers are generally sufficient, though trail shoes may be used depending on weather conditions. An aid station providing water is located at the Race HQ and lap point.
Race registration and bib collection occur on-site near the main toilet block and start arch. While there is no dedicated baggage area, participants are advised to leave belongings in their vehicles, which are parked near the start line.
