Puketapu Night Run

Puketapu Night Run is a night trail running event near Puketapu School in Hawke's Bay held on Friday 31 July 2026. It is organised by the Puketapu School Parents' League as a fundraiser for the school and community.

The event offers three distances:

6.2 km Fun Run
11 km Puketapu Pacer
17 km Full Loop

Courses follow the Tutaekuri River with multiple bridge crossings. The 11 km and 17 km routes include crossings at the Waiohiki Bridge and the Puketapu Bridge, which will be lit for the event. The 17 km Full Loop follows limestone trails along the river and can be run solo or as a three person relay. Corporate team entries are available.

All distances feature headlamp and course lighting, marshals, and a staffed finish area. Post-race amenities at Puketapu School include food and drinks and a community gathering.
