Pufferbelly Run, Walk, & Stroll
The 17th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, & Stroll is scheduled for July 18, 2026 at Parkview YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN. The event takes place on the Pufferbelly Trail, and proceeds support development of trails including new sections of the Pufferbelly Trail.
When complete, the Pufferbelly Trail will be part of the Poka-Bache Connector, an 82-mile route planned to run from Ouabache State Park in Bluffton to Pokagon State Park in Angola and to link Steuben, Dekalb, Allen, and Wells counties as part of the United Trails project. The connector is planned as a tourist destination and for cultural growth in the region.
Event formats include:
- 10K run
- 5K run/walk
- 1-mile Kids Fun Run
Packet pick-up is available the day before the event and on race day. T-shirts are available to 5K and 10K participants who pre-register by June 15, 2026; Kids Fun Run shirts are available for purchase. Timing chips are used for accurate results. Awards will be presented to top female and male finishers in each age group and overall for the 10K and 5K.
The course uses public trails and will remain open to trail users during the event. Dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, and personal electronic devices are not allowed on the running course. Strollers are permitted on the 5K. Parking is available at the YMCA and nearby businesses; signage will direct attendees. Music, refreshments, and children’s activities are part of the event day.
