Pufferbelly Run, Walk, & Stroll
The 17th annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll takes place on July 18, 2026 at Parkview YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. The event uses the Pufferbelly Trail and utilizes the local trail system; the trail remains open to the public during the event.
Distances offered include:
- 10K run
- 5K run/walk
- 1 mile kids' fun run
Proceeds support trail development, including new sections of the Pufferbelly Trail. When complete, that trail will be part of the Poka Bache Connector running from Ouabache State Park in Bluffton to Pokagon State Park in Angola. The connector is planned as an 82 mile route linking Steuben, Dekalb, Allen, and Wells counties and forms part of the United Trails project for the region.
Timing chips are used to record accurate finishing times. Awards are given to the top female and male runners in each age group and to the overall female and male finishers in the 10K and 5K. T shirts are available to 5K and 10K participants who pre register by June 15, 2026; kids may purchase an event shirt for a fee. The event includes music, refreshments, and kid games. Dogs, in line skates, skateboards, and electronic devices are not allowed on the running course. Strollers are permitted in the 5K. Parking is available at the YMCA and nearby businesses with signage on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
