Pufferbelly Run, Walk, & Stroll : Fort Wayne Trails
The 17th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, & Stroll takes place on July 18, 2026 at Parkview YMCA in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The event uses the Pufferbelly Trail and the course remains open to the public during the event. Proceeds will be used to develop trails, including new sections of the Pufferbelly Trail that will form part of the planned Poka-Bache Connector between Ouabache State Park and Pokagon State Park. That connector is planned as an 82-mile route linking Steuben, Dekalb, Allen, and Wells counties and is part of a regional United Trails project.
The event offers multiple distances:
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kids' Fun Run
Timing chips are used for accurate results. Awards are given to the top female and male runners in each age group and to overall female and male winners for the 10K and 5K. Pre-registered 5K and 10K participants who register by June 15, 2026 are eligible for event T-shirts; kids may purchase shirts. Packet pick-up is available the evening before and on race day. The event includes music, refreshments, and kid's games. Dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, and electronic devices are not allowed on the running course; strollers are permitted in the 5K. Parking is available at the YMCA and nearby businesses with signage on the day of the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
