17th Annual Pufferbelly Run, Walk, and Stroll
The event on July 18, 2026 includes a 10K, a 5K family run/walk, and a 1 mile kids' fun run. It is based at the Parkview YMCA, 10001 Dawsons Creek Blvd, Fort Wayne. The course starts and finishes at the Parkview YMCA on the south side of Dupont Road between Coldwater Road and Lima Road. Directions and parking follow posted signs.

Proceeds support trail development for the Pufferbelly Trail, a conversion of the former New York Railroad into a paved recreational path. When complete, the planned 84-mile Poka-Bache Connector will link downtown Fort Wayne to Pokagon State Park in Angola and to Ouabache State Park in Bluffton.
Pre-registered participants may pick up race packets at the Parkview YMCA on the Friday before the event or on race day. Participants who register by June 14 are guaranteed a race t-shirt; a tech shirt upgrade is available for an additional fee. Timing chips will be used. Awards will be given to the top male and female overall and in age groups for the 5K and 10K. All kids fun run participants receive a participation ribbon and awards for top male and female fun runners. Music, refreshments, and kids games will be available. Dogs, in-line skates, skateboards, and electronic devices are not allowed on the course. Strollers are allowed in the 5K and 10K. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
