Keesler Federal Battleship 12K
The Keesler Federal Battleship 12K is a point to point road race held in Spanish Fort, Alabama on 11/15/2026. The course covers 12K (7.45 miles) from the starting area listed at 26000 Bass Pro Dr. and finishes at Battleship Memorial Park beside the USS Alabama. The race began in 2015 as an event to honor military service.
The route starts on Old Spanish Trail, turns right just past the old chamber of commerce and runs downhill. Runners use the southernmost lane and the emergency lane along Highway 98 into Battleship Memorial Park. Entering the park for the homestretch, participants receive small American flags and arrive at a finish area where civilians, active military, and veterans provide audible support and phrases of thanks.
The event includes patriotic opening ceremonies and the National Anthem. Organizers provide shuttles that return finishers to the starting area at Spanish Fort Town Center. Two registration options are listed: the standard Keesler Federal Battleship 12K with a registration fee of $35.00 and an Assisted 12K option with a registration fee of $100.00.
