PT the Pirate 5K

PT the Pirate is an annual run organized by East Carolina Universitys Physical Therapy Club in Greenville, North Carolina. The event takes place at Wildwood Park and includes both a timed 5K race and an untimed 1 mile fun run.

The event supports student activities: proceeds will be used for equipment in the student run clinic, student conferences, other education needs, and for promoting the ECU PT Club in Greenville and surrounding areas. All 5K participants who register before March 6 will be guaranteed a T shirt. Prizes from sponsors are to be announced. There will be food and a tabling area with sponsors after the race.

Registration details include a fee structure with an early price of $30 and a later price of $35. Registration opens on September 10, 2026. Packet pickup is available the day before the event and on the day of the race. The race course runs on the trails of Wildwood Park. There is ample parking at the Wildwood Park Welcome Center. A Strava group is available for participants who wish to train with others.
