Polska Running Team Festival (PRT)
The Polska Running Team Festival is a community running event held at Rockland Lake State Park, Parking Lot #2, 299 Rockland Lake Rd., Valley Cottage. The festival includes timed Run/Walk distances and a separate kids run, and it marks the Polska Running Team anniversary.
The course is a loop. Runners complete:
- 5K
- 10K
- 15K
Course notes: one loop equals 5K, two loops equal 10K, and three loops equal 15K. Start and finish share the same location for all distances. For accurate split and finish times in the 10K and 15K, participants must cross the finish line at the end of each loop.
Amenities listed for the event include a finisher medal for the first 100 registrants, a race t-shirt, access to a swimming pool, a playground, and an after-race picnic. Awards are given to the top three men and top three women in each distance.
Bib pickup options include in-person pickup with event staff beginning one hour before the race, and mailed bibs for virtual or early registrants (mailing begins the Monday prior; allow three to five days). Last-minute registrants may receive a bib number by text. Live online results, same-day finish-line photos, and video are provided. Virtual participants can upload times and photos and may use tracks, treadmills, MapMyRun, certified courses, parks, or Strava to record distance.
