PrisonBreak Triathlon 2026
The PrisonBreak Triathlon is a multisport event sanctioned by CTTA/TSA, organised by FLUID LINES SPORTING (PTY) LTD at Brandvlei Correctional Centre on the bank of Brandvlei Dam near Worcester, Western Cape. The programme includes individual and team formats and several race options across swim, bike and run disciplines.
Available race distances include:
- Mini Escape: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
- Maxi Escape: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Aqua Bike Maxi: 1500 m swim, 40 km bike
- Gang relays: team entries of three for Mini or Maxi distances
Practical information: the bike route is on tar road and is suitable for road, TT or mountain bikes. The event is non-drafting and TT bikes are allowed. Race entries include timing chip, race number and a goodie bag for many classes; swim caps, a PRISONBREAK T-Shirt and medals are provided for finishers. A prize pool valued at R32,000 is allocated across age categories. Minimum age requirements apply by 31 December 2026: Mini Escape 16 years, Maxi Escape 18 years, Mini Gang youngest member 15 years with other members at least 16 years, Maxi Gang youngest 17 years with other members at least 18 years.
