PrisonBreak Triathlon 2026 : Brandvlei, Western Cape
PrisonBreak Triathlon is scheduled for 10 October 2026 at Brandvlei Correctional Centre on the bank of Brandvlei Dam near Worcester, Western Cape, South Africa. The event is organized by FLUID LINES SPORTING (PTY) LTD and is sanctioned by CTTA/TSA in its fourth year.
The event offers multiple race formats and a team relay option. The bike route uses tar roads and is suitable for Road, TT or Mountain Bikes. The event is non-drafting and TT bikes are permitted. A prize pool of R32,000 is listed. All participants receive a goody bag, swim cap and a PrisonBreak T‑Shirt, and medals are awarded to finishers.
Distances and formats:
- Mini Escape: 750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run
- Maxi Escape: 1500m swim, 40km bike, 10km run
- Maxi Aqua Bike: 1500m swim, 40km bike
- Gang Version: three person team relays for Mini or Maxi distances
Age and team requirements are specified by the organiser. Team entries must consist of three participants. Minimum ages by 31 December 2026 are given separately for Mini, Maxi and gang categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
