Pride 5K Run / Walk
The San Diego Pride 5K, presented by Front Runners & Walkers San Diego, is a USATF-sanctioned 5K run and walk that follows part of the San Diego Pride Parade route in Hillcrest. The course is an out-and-back that starts and finishes on University Avenue at Richmond Street and goes west on University, south on 6th Avenue, into Balboa Park, then returns the same way.

Chip timing is used and results are available the day of the event and online. Every participant receives a short-sleeve race shirt and a finisher’s medal; virtual participants receive their packet by mail. Bib and packet pick-up is offered before race day at the LGBT Center in Hillcrest, with limited race-day pick-up at the staging area due to nearby construction.
The event includes pre-race activities, a vendor village, bag check, gear check, portable restrooms, and water at the start, the finish, and one location on the course. Awards are given to the top three in each age division for male, female, and non-binary categories, and every participant receives a finisher’s medal. Baby joggers are allowed but will be asked to start behind other participants. Bicycles, inline skates, motorized scooters, skateboards, and pets other than service animals are not allowed.
